Abstract (EN)

The term smart cities has many definitions, but as a clear and simplified definition of the smart city, it is the site in which public services are provided to the community as in other cities, but it has gained flexibility and efficiency in providing its operations to the population through the use of networks, information technologies, and communications. In general, smart cities are cities that use technological means in all areas of life In order to provide good services to citizens and visitors. Smart cities rely on (IoT) technology in order to connect the various components of the city and form a network, thus cities will be able to collect data from this network that covers all parts of the city. This data is the basis for providing technological solutions to manage services and resources in this city, such as the electric power network, the water network, roads and parking lots. The work presents the concept of smart cities, the reasons that prompted the world to move towards its establishment, performance evaluation criteria and indicators for smart cities, and the main pillars on which smart cities depend. It also provides a simplified hypothetical way to measure the ideal smart city model by identifying some of the key pillars and indicators on which smart cities depend, simulating these pillars with logical circuits and testing them to determine whether the city can be considered an ideal smart city or not.
