Determination of the investment regions of sedimentary limestone natural stone quarries by analytical hierarcy proces (AHP)

Turkey in terms of the amount of reserves in sedimentary limestone quarry has a significant share in the natural world. The number of natural sedimentary stone quarry in Turkey is approximately 1,200. Natural stone quarries in over 120 colors and patterns have been determined in our country. In the first phase of this study, the production, sales and quarry productivity of the sedimentary origin natural stone quarries invested in 8 different regions (Burdur region, Isparta region, Antalya Region, Bursa Region, Bilecik Region, Kastamonu Region, Konya Region and Mersin Region) between 2016-2019 It has been analyzed. In the second stage, 8 criteria taken into consideration by the investors investing in the natural stone sector were determined. In the last part of the study, the problem of choosing which region the investor will invest in 8 different regions and 8 criteria between 2016 and 2019 was analyzed with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making Methods, and sensitivity analysis was performed in Microsoft Office Excel program. As a result of this study, Burdur Region was selected among the natural stone quarries of sedimentary origin.
