Türkçe konuşan üniversite öğrencilerinin yazılı Fransızca yanlışlarının incelenmesi: Toplumsal-kültürel etmenler / Importance of sociocultural variability for Turkish students learning French as foreign language: Error analysis within the writing skill framework

This Master's thesis focuses on the French errors of Turkish students within framework of written expression. Admittedly, the analysis of errors is a research topic much discussed in the context of French teaching both in Turkey and in elsewhere. We will distinguish ourselves from other research, in this case in the Turkish context, by considering the sociocultural and pragmatic variability of the context in which these errors occur. Supposing that errors constitute a creative tool in the French teaching in Turkey, we will adopt the content analysis of these errors, from the exam papers which are collected at the University Dokuz Eylül (academic year 2021-2022, 150 papers analyzed). This analysis will allow us to understand the background of the difficulties encountered by Turkish students of French, as well as the impact of sociocultural and pragmatic variability during the process of French teaching in this country. Certes, l'analyse des erreurs est un sujet de recherche très abordé dans le cadre de la didactique du français en Turquie aussi bien qu'ailleurs. Nous nous distinguerons des autres recherches, particulièrement dans le contexte turc, par le fait de tenir compte de la variabilité socioculturelle et pragmatique du contexte dans lequel ces erreurs sont ancrées (perspective très peu abordée jusqu'à présent). Partant de l'hypothèse que les erreurs constituent un outil créatif dans la didactique du français en Turquie, nous adopterons l'analyse de contenu de ces erreurs, à partir 150 copies d'examen recueillies à l'Université Dokuz Eylül durant l'année universitaire 2021-2022. Cette analyse nous permettra de comprendre les dessous des difficultés que rencontrent en français les étudiants turcophones, ainsi que l'influence de variabilité culturelle et pragmatique durant le processus de didactique du français dans le pays concerné.
