Study of privileged management problems encountered at kindergarten from school admi̇ni̇strators' point of view

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the problems faced by kindergarten administrators with the order of importance and to propose solutions to these problems according to their own opinions. In this research, mixed (exploratory sequential) method has been used in order to benefit from the opportunity of both qualitative and quantitative studies and to reduce the limitations of both. In the research, two different study groups were studied in accordance with the method. Participants were choosen among the kindergarten administrators who are from the different districts in Gaziantep in term of their socioeconomic status between 2018-2019 in order to ensure maximum diversity. While analyzing the findings, descriptive analysis was used in the qualitative dimension of the research and scaling technique was used in the quantitative dimension. As a result of the research, the problems faced by kindergarten administrators are related to finance, staff, parents, legislation, communication and students in order of priorities. The most important problems encountered under these problem headings are these : Insufficient income sources under the title of financing, not being able to employ enough auxiliary personnel under the heading of staff, parents' perspective to school under the heading of the parents, excessive workload under the title of legislation, foreign students and parents in the subtitle of communication and adaptation process problems in the student title. In the research, it is pointed out the fewness of the solution offers despite the numbers of problems encountered by the kindergarten administrators. This situation indicates that a result of the fact that school management policies in preschool education institutions are generally taken by top management units and that school administrators are given low authority in decision making processes and there is an established perception that the problems should be solved centrally.
