?republic and state concept in Turkey in terms of decisions of constitutional court (The content analysis of decisions of political parties? closure)

In this study, it has been, primarily, aimed to find an answer to the question of whether there is an official ideology of the Republic/State on which rely the rulings of Turkish Constitutional Court on the closure of political parties through the method of ?content analysis? in which it has been intended to analyze a written or verbal text or symbol, change them into numbers, and consequently, to interpret these numbers, in other words, to reconvert the numbers into words. In this sense, it has been put forward and explicated that Turkish constitutional court while adjudicates, rests on official ideology which has two main grounds in the light of numerical data obtained through content analysis. Accordingly, these two grounds of the Republic/State are the principles of ?secularism? and ?indivisible unity? which originates from nationalism of ?Ataturk principles and reforms?. Therefore, due to the power of its verdicts? binding force, Turkish constitutional court, which almost has a role of a playmaker in Turkish politics, reduces, so as to say, the limit of political scope for politicians through the implementation of the theory of ?limited political sphere? by means of this very power of itself.The Turkish Constitutional Court- which is able to provide a healthy process of Turkish democracy without any deadlock as of its position that is a locus where law and politics intersect- engenders to the continuation of tutelage over Turkish democracy due to its role as the guardian of this official ideology of Republic/State, being independent guardian in lieu of an impartial adjudicator. This assertion is the second main argument of this study. When assessed from the view point of its rulings, one can reach to the conclusion that it has had no a stance based on rights and freedoms or placing the individual at the center, yet it has presented an official ideology based attitude that is state centered. Whether it will change its stance in question in the wake of a change in the number of its members after a recent constitutional amendment is to be seen in the course of time.Key words:1. content analysis,2.
