Abstract (EN)

In this study, biotransformations of androstenedione by Cladosporium sphaerospermum MRC 70266 and Ulocladium chartarum MRC 72584 were performed. Incubation of androstenedione with Cladosporium sphaerospermum MRC 70266 yielded 17β-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3-one (2%), 5α-androstane-3,6,17-trione (3%), 6β-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (37%), 17β-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,16-dione (5%), 6β,17β-dihydroxyandrost-4-en-3-one (6%), 15α-hydroxyiandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (4%) and 6β,17β-dihydroxyandrost-4-en-3,16-dione (3%). Incubation of androstenedione with Ulocladium chartarum MRC 72584 yielded 5α-androstane-3,6,17-trione (13%), 17β-hydroxy-5α-androstane-3,6-dione (3%), 14α-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (14%), 7β-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (18%) and 7α-hydroxyandrost-4-en-3,17-dione (10%). 6β,17β-dihydroxyandrost-4-en-3,16-dione was idendified as a new compound.
