INTRODUCTİON AND PURPOSE: In this study, we aimed that the comparison of cost and survival analysis below to obstetric and of other patients that hospitalized at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Clinic Intensive Care Unit in 2013. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The patients hospitalized in Reanimation clinical between 31.12.2013 and 01.01.2013, of demographic data, all services that were billed, all income and expenses that are documented in this time, were included in the study. The cost of per patient was calculated by using the traditional cost analysis methods in the analysis of data. The datas were analysed using Microsoft Office Excel program. RESULTS: The calculated datas are like that; The total income of obstetric patients in 2013 at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, is 172,607.45 TL / 91,481.95 $, the total expens including the gross salary is 122.811,07 TL/ 65.089,87 $, net profit is 49.796,38 TL /26.392,08 $, the average daily profit per patient is 353,17 TL/187,18 $ as and the total income of the non-obstetric patients is 2.734.979,18 TL/1.449.538,97 $, the total expens including the gross salary is 2.011.182,90 TL / 1.065.926,94 $, net profit is 723.796,28 TL/383.612,03 $, the average daily profit per patient is 250,45 TL/132,74 $. Obstetric patients; The total number of patients is 31, the averages of age are 31.6, the lenght of hospitalizing is totally 141 days and this ratio is averagly 4.5 days per patient, 3 patients were exitus in total, averagely exitus was realized in 5. days, exitus rate is %9.68 and the average exitus age is 35. As the diagnosis; 9 patients are postpartum hemorrhage (%29), 6 patients are preeclampsia (%19,4), 6 patients are Placental Abnormalities (%19,4), 5 patients are Eclampsia (%16,1), 4 patients are HELLP syndrome (%12,9), 1 patient is sepsis (%3,2). Non-obstetric patients; The total number of patients are 123, the averages of age are 38,5, the lenght of hospitalizing is totally 2890 days and this ratio is averagely 23.5 days per patient, 28 patients were exitus in total, averagely exitus was realized in 15,7. days, exitus rate is %22,76 and the average exitus age is 40,3. The diagnosis; 51 patients are Diseases of The Respiratory System (%41,4), 44 patients are Multiple Trauma (%35,8), 7 patients are suicide (%5,7), 7 patients are Head Trauma (%5,7), 6 patients are stab wounds and gunshot wounds (% 4,9), 5 patients are Cardiac Arrest (%4,1), 3 patients are İntoxications (%2,4). CONCLUSİON: Obstetric patients hospitalized in intensive care are the patieints that averages of age, length of hospitalizing, averages of exitus age, morbidity-mortality are lower and the average daily cost per patient with the average daily profit per patient are higher. These patients respond better to treatment, therefore the critical obstetric patients should be evaluated quickly and appropriate medical support should be initiated immediately.
