Abstract (EN)
In animation cinema, which is defined as a multi-disciplinary art form, there are developments in animation processes and movement aesthetics in parallel with technological developments. By the transformation of the audience, there have been changes and transformations in movement aesthetics based on plasmatic movement in the early periods. At this point, different principles and methods have been needed in creating movement aesthetics in animation cinema today, and new methods and principles have begun to be used. In these methods and principles, the concept of rhythm has come to the fore in movement design process, both to create a strong communication and to produce aesthetic movement patterns. Principles such as timing-spacing, slow-in&slow-out, which are among the 12 Principles of Animation accepted as the industry standard in animation cinema, focus on the technical production process of rhythm. However, it is thought that these principles are insufficient in terms of quality and content in creating rhythm. At this point, new methods are needed in today's animation cinema to construct and create rhythm in movement patterns. The aim is to investigate the contributions and limitations of the Rudolf von Laban's Space Harmony-Choreutics theory and the Laban Movement Analysis in creating rhythm in animation cinema movement aesthetics. Within the framework of this purpose, using level and directions in Space Harmony-Choreutics theory and the action drive of the Laban Movement Analysis method to create rhythm in animation cinema, the "Passion and Poison" short animation film 1'45" long was produced in 3D CGI technique. Keywords: Animation cinema, Character animation, Rhythm in animation, Space harmony theory-choreutics, LMA-action drives.
