Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study, which is a descriptive intervention research, is to determine the health status of the employees in the art technical units of the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Directorate and to prepare a training program for chronic diseases, to develop and apply training materials and to evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided. 152 people were included in the study. Data sources; face to face questionnaire forms from the WHO STEPS Tool Survey prepared by the World Health Organization (WHO), whose validity and reliability have been determined by the Ministry of Health of Turkish Republic and the health records of workplace doctor. In the analysis of the data: SPSS computer package program will be used, comparing the pre-training and post-training values of frequency and percentage distributions, and evaluating the relationships with the chi-square test and t-test in dependent groups.47% of the study group smoked, 46% consumed alcohol, 95% constantly used salt in meals, 49% did not exercise, 20% had high blood pressure, 10% were diagnosed with diabetes and It was observed that the body mass index of 74% was above normal values. A statistically significant decrease in systolic blood pressure and body mass index was observed after the training. It has been observed that the posters used visually in the workshops for a year and the training provided were effective even in a short time. In the light of the results obtained in this study, trainings on chronic diseases should be planned in workplaces in the prevention and control of chronic diseases. These trainings should be given not only theoretically, but also integrated with brochures and posters.
