Abstract (EN)
In this research, Kırşehir prayer rugs in Ethnography Museum , Ankara were investigated.In the first chapter, the history of Kırşehir and information about the museum that is exhibiting the prayer rugs were explained upon giving information about the subject, its boundaries, method and references,The second chapter includes the information about the historical development of the Turkish Carpet Art.In the catalogue part, the samples that had been examined earlier have been defined one by one, and in the evaluation part they were investigated in terms of material, colour, technique, composition, and pattern. Furthermore the comparison of the other known examples from Kırşehir region and other examples of Anatolian region were made.In the conclusion part, an evaluation of the study is done briefly.At the end of the study the references are given as well as appendix part tables and drawings.Key words1.Ethnography Museum2.Kırşehir carpets3.Prayer rug4.Carpet5.Weaving
