Accesible public transport mobile application for Ankara

Today, especially in developed countries, since the 1960s, studies have been carried out on Intelligent Transportation Systems and policies have been developed in many countries. Together with the increasing intelligent transportation systems, it is gaining momentum in studies for the disabled in the world and in our country. It is of great importance for people with disabilities to play an active role in social life by analyzing their needs. It is inevitable that it will benefit their participation in social life by reducing the problems they face in carrying out their basic functions in daily life. In this study, mobile application design and proposal were made in order to increase the effectiveness of disabled people who live in Ankara and want to provide transportation from one place to another by public transportation means. Examples of mobile applications designed for disabled people in the world and in our country are given. The definition of disability, its types and the problems experienced are explained. General information about Ankara public transportation systems was given and data on the use of disabled cards were provided by the EGO General Directorate. The mobile application design and development proposal was made through the Flutter program language.
