Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of Konya Technical University Mining Engineering Department master's project, I visited 3 different mines belonging to Metropolitan Municipality in Ankara. I learned about the production and general operations of Andesite, Basalt and Limestone quarries. I brought samples of Andesite (Gölbaşı), Basalt (Etimesgut) and Limestone (Mamak) from 3 different quarries. Within the scope of this thesis, we gave information about andesite, basalt and limestone samples by doing 4 different experiments on sample samples. In our experiments on samples; Uniaxial Compressive Strengths were found to be 152.30 Mpa for the andesite sample, 122.72 Mpa for the limestone sample, 136.15 Mpa for the basalt sample. Our sample with the highest compressive strength (Mpa) belongs to Gölbaşı quarry. Our lowest sample belongs to Mamak quarry. In the Schmidt Hammer Test, the andesite sample was 223.82 Mpa, the basalt sample was 178.95 Mpa, and the limestone sample was 211.57 Mpa. Our highest average (Mpa) sample in the Schmidt Hammer Test belongs to Gölbaşı quarry. Our lowest sample belongs to Etimesgut Quarry. In the Freeze-Dissolution Test, weight losses of 0.06%, limestone sample 0.02%, and basalt sample 0.10% weight loss were observed in%. The basalt sample that experienced the most weight loss was with an average loss value of 0.10%. The least weight loss was experienced by the limestone sample of 0.02%. In the Spanish Dry Weight Loss (DWL) Test, weight loss was% 11.70 for andesite sample, 0.18% for basalt sample, -0.59% for limestone sample. The limestone sample that experienced the highest weight loss was with an average loss value of -0.59%. The least weight loss was experienced by the andesite sample of 11.70%.
