Tourism potential of Ankara province

Changing tourism demands, intense working tempos and monotonous lives of people have led to the emergence of new tourism activities in both rural and urban areas. This study was carried out with the aim of revealing the tourism potential of Ankara to change the idea of being a distant and boring civil servant city and to open a certain amount of horizons for the people living. The stressful, noisy and dirty structure of cities and busy work schedules of people have made both rural and urban tourism important. In our study, it is aimed to show that the city of Ankara has places to visit, see, photograph, savor, recommend and have a good time. The unknown of the potential, the reasons for the unknown, the effects of transportation and weather conditions on city tourism were examined. When we look at the results obtained through some interviews, tourism developments in rural areas have also provided the development of the socio-economic structure of the region, and it has even been observed that changes have occurred in many areas. In my study, it is aimed to evaluate the opportunities and threats of areas with tourism potential, by revealing their strengths and weaknesses.
