Throughout the history of mankind, art played role at the relationships which are understanding each other, developing of empathy, expressing the emotions of societies. Certainly, psyhical place takes role on the artist's conditions. The persons working together and external conditions provide ground to understand which the items the artists do express? Society is not limited with free-public areas. Therefore, prisoners and convicts are the parts of society life and also they would return to there. For this reason, rehabilitation of them is very important for returning to society. In this context, painting study contributes to socialization of prisoners and convicts. In this research, the role of the painting studies at socialization of prisoners and convicts Ankara Women of the criminal penal instutions (Ankara Kadın Kapalı Ceza İnfaz Kurumu) will be analyzed with the context of art's role.
