Content analysis of articles that related to social, historical and philosophical foundations of education in Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences Journal

This study includes content analysis of articles on the social, philosophical and historical foundations of education in the Journal of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Ankara University. Content analysis from qualitative research methods was used in the study. During the analysis, the topics covered by the authors, the concepts and problems they used were discussed. There are a total of 115 articles on the social, philosophical and historical foundations of education. Of these, 82 of them are related to the social foundations of education, 25 of them are related to the philosophical foundations of education, and 8 of them are related to the historical foundations of education. All articles were obtained from Ankara University journals internet database. Articles translated into English and articles in which Ottoman Turkish was converted into Latin letters were left out of the research. Research data was obtained by reading the articles. As a result, the authors reflected their ideas during the period, the problem they created and the concept they used were seen as reflecting their subjective ideas. The frequency of writing and publishing articles decreased by the 2000s. The reason for this was that these areas were included in the elective course and graduate program by YÖK in.
