Abstract (EN)

In the process from the establishment of the republic to the present, both immigration and emigration have been frequently seen in Turkey. Immigrant or emigrant who left behind his/her home, family, friends and land will start another life in his/her new life area. One of the characteristics of immigrant or emigrant is the reconciliation problems with the new life areas. Migrants who brought their cultures by themselves would like to keep up with their value judgments which they are used to. But to start a new life is a tough struggle for the migrant in a place which sometimes the language sometimes the habits are completely different.The subject of the study is chosen as ?Social and Cultural Change in Bingöl Originated Residents in Ankara? and therefore the study has been carried out for 24 months in Bingöl and 14 months in Ankara trying to bring to light both cultural and social characteristics of Bingöl and social and cultural change in Bingöl residents who migrated to Ankara. For this purpose, Bingöl migrants from different occupation, sex and age groups are chosen and alongside face to face interviews, participation and interview methods are applied and change process, in the framework of ?integrative approach? which is the main hallmark of the anthropologic viewpoint, has been tried to put forth.
