Abstract (EN)

In 20th century, especially developments by technology and increase in the use of energy, cause environmental pollution and it becomes a reason of destruction in ecological system. Human being orients to renewable energy resources because of environmental pollution causing by using of fossil energy resources also being exhausted of them.Ecological building design becomes more important in the world because, approximately the half of consumption in use of energy is in the buildings. The design of building and the systems which use the renewable energy to produce energy for using in the building would reduce the energy requirement, and this would be a precaution for the environmental pollution. The workbook allows one to enter data and from that data determine which system will be cost-effective compared to a condensing gas furnace, heating pump and high-efficiency central air conditioner assembly. It also determined what the costs of natural gas and electricity will have to rise to in order for certain systems to be cost-effective. Based on a life cycle cost analysis, the results show which system to choose for the residence. The results show that the vertical ground source heat pump always paid back the quickest.
