Abstract (EN)
In this study, uplift capacity of anchor plate embedded in sand, clay and layered soil was investigated by conducting laboratory model tests. Model anchor plate with 50mm diameters of helix and circular were used in the tests. The parameters investigated for the uplift capacity of anchor plate include the shape, embedment ratio, different soil types and density of sand. In the model tests, it was also investigated the effect of geosynthetic where was placed on the interface of layered soil. It was observed that uplift capacity of anchor plate increased with increasing the embedment ratio, shape of anchor, density of sand, soil type and geosynthetic reinforcement. In addition, the tests were modelled by using the finite element program called PLAXIS 2D. The experimental results were compared with the numerical results and finally, some necessary suggestions for continuation of this work were put forward.
