Abstract (EN)

In this study the novels "Die Toten Bleiben Jung", "Der Kopflohn", "Der siebte Kreuz" and "Transit" by the author Anna Seghers who has Jewish origins and occupies a significant place in German literature has been researched referring to Other and Othering. Since she had Jewish origins and left wing thoughts, she was targeted by Hitler fascism during the National Soscialism period and suffered personally from exiles and othering. It has been aimed to answer the questions of how the Nazi fascism and othering has affected both a human, a creative artist and an author and how it has been reflected in these novels. In this first chapter, because of its multi-dimensional nature the notions other and othering has been elaborated under the subjects of sociology, psychology and philosophy. In the second chapter, under the light of historical realities, Other and Othering issues during the National Socialism period has been scrutinized. In the third chapter the four novels of the author has been analysed on the grounds of Other(ing). Finally, it has been inferred that the author gave a realistic perspective on the destructions, sufferings, intimidation, violence, propaganda exercises for othering, concentration camps, exiles and reality of refuging under the National Socialist control.
