Abstract (EN)

The content of the thesis is the text transcription and evaluation of a manuscript in the Topkapı Palace Museum Manuscript Library, registered in the Treasury Collection 1468, which has attracted the attention of few researchers so far. This manuscript, of which we could not identify the author, gives information about the political, social, economic and cultural life between 18 Recep 1058 (8 August 1648) and the late Muharrem 1106 (10-20 September 1694). This information was given from the mouth of a person who was a witness of this period and who had a large network and possibly a page. The difference from the sources of the same period is that it deals with the mentioned events from a different perspective and includes dialogues in some special assemblies which are not mentioned in the sources of the period. Apart from this, perhaps the most important difference is that the author of this manuscript, unlike the other chronic writers of the same period, wrote his work without any patronage, without any future concern, without mentioning his own name, and not mentioning the injustices made to him in his work. Such matters make the work different from other chronicles in terms of originality and impartiality. Therefore, this manuscript is an important first-hand resource that gives researchers the opportunity to interpret the complex panorama of this period more objectively.
