Abstract (EN)
In this study, the liability of joint stock companies, which are among the equity companies, for public debts is examined. The study covers the liability of the legal entity and the company's legal representatives in the event that the public receivable cannot be collected from the main responsible company. The scope, conditions, and limitations of this liability are covered under the laws governing the Tax Procedures Code and the Law on the Collection Procedure of Public Receivables. Then, under the purview of the Corporate Tax Code, regulations were established concerning joint stock firms' liability for public debts in the event of structural changes, provided that the prerequisites outlined in the Turkish Commercial Code were met.
