Smart city applications in Antalya Metropolitan mMnicipality

Turkey the world scale of the urban population and area of the continuous increase in the consumption of natural resources management and governance with the challenges, problems such as the reduction of urban sustainable use and comfort of their living space has brought. Many national and international agreements and protocols were implemented to solve these problems, but no concrete results were achieved. This situation has revealed new quests for the solution of urban problems and in this context, information technologies have been introduced and smart city applications have been developed. The purpose of this study is to examine the smart city applications performed in Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in detail and to compare them with other cities. Qualitative research methods were used in the study. The data and findings obtained by qualitative research methods were evaluated and evaluated in the conclusion section of the study. As a result of the study, it was determined that Antalya Metropolitan Municipality used many smart city applications in the city center, transportation, energy, waste management, security and health within the boundaries of the city center. The examination of the application of benefits pitch obtained from study findings and when an evaluation is made based on the available literature that give useful results for the intelligent application made in the city and has reached the conclusion that for the first time the scale of Turkey's many applications. Within the scope of the smart city practices carried out in Antalya, tourism shortcomings have been identified and the work has been terminated by recommending the establishment of a separate unit within the municipality regarding the continuation of the investments in order to give good results.
