GIS based geotechnical microzonation of Antalya citycentral districts

Abstract (EN)

Antalya province in the second seismic zone map of Turkey earthquake zone, the central districts of the Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez and Döşemealtı but also in building and population density is one of the districts with the most. The study purposes the county municipalities benefiting from the limit in built with field and laboratory experiments based on ground surveys and studies on the geological structure of this region and the region's seismic history, Geographic Information System for these regions (GIS) -based carries the microzonation. In the study area by using IDW (Inverse Distance Weighted) and the Kriging methods up to 15 meters depth soil types, bearing capacity, shear wave velocity and soil dominant period maps are formed. At the same time, with the correlations of different soil parameters, bearing capacity - soil dominant period, shear wave velocity - soil type maps were also created. Using the maps created, the regions with the highest resonance risk were determined for each district, and the spectral acceleration-period graphs of the drilling points in the most risky regions were found from the Deepsoil program by using the parameters of a 6.4- magnitude scenario earthquake. The maximum stress diagrams that the structures at these points, whose ground dominant periods are determined, will encounter as a result of resonance depending on the number of floors were created. For this reason, we should provide healthier housing opportunities in the planning phase of urban transformation projects in old and densely populated residential areas, and in areas where settlement is less or has just started, considering these and similar studies.
