Abstract (EN)
In this study, the differences between The Code About Buildings which are to be Constructed in the Earthquake Regions (DBYBHY 2007) and Turkey Building Earthquake Code (TBDY 2018) were detected and the innovations which have been in TBDY 2018, but not in DBYBHY 2007, were explained. Five reinforced concrete buildings in Antalya province, built on rock soil type with DBYBHY 2007 principles, were modeled using appropriate software (ETABS). While modeling according to DBYBHY 2007, the design information of the buildings was taken as a basis. While modeling according to TBDY 2018, the same principles in the two regulations were preserved, and the innovations brought by the new regulation were reflected. Five models for two regulations, ten models in total were analyzed by the ETABS program. For each model that is analyzed free vibration period values, maximum story displacements, story shears and story stiffness values were taken. These values were compared based on the two regulations and the reasons for the differences were revealed. It has been concluded that the reason for the building free vibration periods, story shear and maximum story displacements to be higher in the analysis made compared to DBYBHY 2007 is the use of the innovations brought by the new regulation in the analysis made according to TBDY 2018.
