Abstract (EN)

Water losses from drinking water distribution systems are an important issue all over the world. Water consumption increases due to rise in population and development of economy. Water losses occurring in water distribution network are the difference between water given to the system and billed water. Water losses are consisted of physical losses and apparent losses. Within this study, Konyaalti region was divided into 18 districted meter areas (DMAs). Flow rate and pressure at the entrance of each DMA are measured and recorded by the SCADA system. Records of water bills were determined volumes of water revenue. As a result of applying the IWA water balance, water losses were calculated and Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILI) which is one of Performance Indicators (PIs) was calculated for 16 DMAs. Hydraulic modelling was used to determine average pressure for 16 DMAs with using well-known EPANET model.
