The problems faced by the foreign national children living in Antalya

The purpose of this research study is to spot the problems of the foreign national children living in Antalya and to find solutions to these problems. This research has an importance in terms of revealing the difficulties confronted by the foreign national students and offering suggestions and solutions to these problems. This study aims to find an answer to the question "What are the educational problems of foreign national children living in Antalya?" The data gathered from questionnaires and interviews were organized according to the content-analysing method in this research and the descriptive survey method is used. As a data collecting tool, the questionnaires in 3 languages (Russian, English, Turkish) both for parents and the children were designed by the researcher. Both questionnaires consist of 2 parts. The family life is included in the first part of the questionnaire for parents, and the second part contains the dimension of educational life. For children, first part comprises of personal information and the second part involves educational information. The survey group is determined according to the sampling method which is easily accessible and based on volunteering principle. The group consists of 96 students and 102 parents of Private International Russian School in 2011-2012 School Year in Antalya.
