Abstract (EN)

This study frequently used by the public; essential oil and fixed oils obtained from plants such as; Nigella sativa oil, Prunus dulcis oil, Chia seed oil, Laurus nobilis oil, St. John's wort oil, Cocos nucifera oil. Antifungal efficacy on Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis at appropriate dosages was investigated in-vitro conditions. MIC value of oils obtained from plants; Different rates had effect on Candida albicans; Nigella sativa oil 6.75 µl/ml, Prunus dulcis oil 12,5 µl/ml, Chia seed oil 6.75 µl/ml, Laurus nobilis 0.21 µl/ml, St. John's wort oil 25 µg/ml, Cocos nucifera oil 6.75 µl/ml; antifungal effect has been observed in the proportions, different rates had effect on Candida tropicalis; Nigella sativa oil 25 µl/ml, Prunus dulcis oil 25 µl/ml, Chia seed oil 12.5 µl/ml, Laurus nobilis 1,68 µl/ml, St. John's wort oil 25 µg/ml, Cocos nucifera oil 25 µl/ml antifungal effect has been observed in the proportions. Herbal extracts antifungal activity has shown that they can be used as supplement to antifungal treatment in the field of health.
