The Relationship Between Religion and Politics in Ancient Egypt

This study is purpose on the investigation of the pharaoh system, which is the center of religion and politics in Ancient Egypt. In Ancient Egypt, the monarchic form of government called "Pharaoh" was based on ancient Egyptian religion. The political structure based on this religious understanding has ruled Egypt and its surroundings through various stages for a total of three thousand years. This religious understanding, which lasted from B.C. 3200 up to B.C. 330, influenced both ancient religions and others such as Judaism and Christianity, which had relations with the region. At the same time, the narrative of the rejection of the Egyptian Pharaoh system is also mentioned in the Qur'an. The aim of this study is to show how the ancient Egyptian religious system influenced and shaped the monarchic order and how it was affected by the mobility within the monarchy. In the first chapter, general information about the geographical structure and history of Egypt is given and the period from the foundation of the pharaoh dynasty, which is called the dynasty to the collapse, is evaluated by considering the historical developments. In the second chapter, the problems encountered in the definition of Egyptian religion and mythology are given and a general evaluation is done about the religion and mythology of Egyptian civilization. In this section, information was given about the gods associated with the Egyptian kingdom. In the third chapter, the political and religious character of the pharaoh system, which is the center of the Egyptian kingdom, is discussed; Pharaoh 's title, divine origins, legends about pharaoh' s and information about the status of the Hereafter is discussed.
