Abstract (EN)

One of the most basic need of human being is desire of self expression. In other words, it is impulse of 'word attack'. 'Narrative' for theatre which is one of the most important communication instruments down the ages is a reaching method to spectator directly all by itself. Benefiting from their own sources of each theatre is important not only for its naturality but also building a connection between the past and the future culturally. From this point of view, on behalf of Traditional Turkish Theatre, we see the essensials of narrative on encomiastic form. The fundamental orientation of this study which is specific to a play "A Marriage Proposal" by Anton Çehov is in the direction of adaptable to encomiastic form which is built in lots of factors of a play and narrative written in form of western theatre.
