The evaluation of music excepting the human-centralist perspective with posthumanist ideologies on the axis ofthe anthropocene ("The human age")

Production, consumption and lifestyles transformed with Industrialization has resulted in the highest level of negative effects of human actions in the world. This period is ironically called Anthropocene, "the human age". And it reflects a view—the anthropocentric universe conception—in which the human subject is active in the world and everything else is passivized as objects subordinated to human action. Damages caused by the subject-object relationship, especially in the last fifty years, gained visibility through irreversible destruction and loss. Upon this, humanity—whose very existence was under threat—began to question its self-appointed central position and self-centered othering predicates. This questioning has deepened with ideologies supported by Posthumanism, especially at the end of the 20th century. In this context, like every field in which an active position is attributed to mankind as the primary subject in its formation; especially "music"—the widespread branch that is focused in this study—has an almost ossified folklore with its practices based on strict hierarchies spread over centuries, in which people are glorified as "creative". With the 20th century, intra-field/grammar interrogations and cross-border crossings; and attempts to support them with intellectual/philosophical foundations started to come to the fore with striking moves right after the World War II, which is one of the most destructive mistakes caused by human "ingenuity". In this study, it is aimed to show the possibility of a "universal symbiosis" through new aural design practices/perspectives in which the natural-environmental quality of music is brought to the forefront by overcoming the accepted doctrines and conventional frameworks. Beyond that, it is kindly reminded that these can be achieved with the support of peaceful purposes, ideas and ideologies reinforced by Posthumanism for a better Anthropocene future providing a holistic life vision and eventually defragmenting the human-nature disunity.
