Abstract (EN)

Stone; From primitive people to today's modern people, it has been used continuously by changing its shape and function. Among the limited building materials used by pre industrial societies, stone material, which is durable and has a high load-bearing power, constitutes the main building material of architectural works. Despite its high strength, this natural material is exposed to serious problems ranging from wear, loss of detail to structural deterioration due to the constant effects of many events over time. Reaching the main source of the existing stone material is of primary importance. If this situation cannot be achieved, the material with the most suitable properties should be determined. The aim of the thesis; The aim is to eliminate the damaged situation that occurs as a result of the loss of functionality of the existing natural stone material in historical artifacts due to physical, geochemical and biological factors over time. In order to determine this, the sample of the study consists of the 18-19th century mosques in Ortahisar/Trabzon. The primary mineralogical-petrographic, mechanical and physical properties of the damaged natural stone material on the structure are determined by the Schmidt hammer test, mineralogical petrographic and XRD studies, and the result is reached.
