The uncontrolled growth of the world's population and the rapid development and diffusion of energy-dependent technology have led to the rapid depletion of existing energy resources. The search for alternative energy has become one of the main research areas. Microbial Fuel Cells (MFC) are also an important alternative as renewable energy. MFC is a system that can convert chemical energy in organic wastes directly into electrical energy with the help of microorganisms. MFCs consist of an anode and a cathode chamber and a membrane in which electrochemical reactions take place. There is not enough information in the literature to support this idea. In this study, the MFC performance of membranes prepared by using KS at various concentrations was evaluated. According to our results, the proton conduction of KS doped membranes we designed was found to be efficient according to the literature. This evaluation was made according to the analysis results of pH change, voltage, quaternization, internal resistance, coulomb yield parameters. Also, the mechanical properties of the designed membrane were tested, a cost analysis was evaluated and it was determined that it has an effective proton exchange membrane potential. In the case of further optimization studies, a low-cost alternative membrane that can be an efficient energy process element that will support the performance of MFC will be developed. This membrane will have the potential for widespread use in MFC systems.
