Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to support studies that will improve the quality of life and specialist training of research assistant doctors by revealing the sleep quality of research assistant doctors and the relationship between factors that affect their sleep quality. In our study, 200 research assistant doctors working at the Faculty of Medicine of University Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa were included. The socio-demographic structure form and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale (PUQS) prepared for our research were filled in by research assistant doctors via Google surveys. The average sleep time of research assistant doctors is between 6-6.9 hours, and the number of those with good sleep quality according to the PSQI sleep quality index is 48. In line with the research, findings were found regarding the socio-demographic structures of research assistant doctors. We think that those who plan work schedules with research assistant doctors should make more efforts to eliminate the negativities related to this issue in order to increase the sleep quality of research assistant doctors, thus enable them to have a higher quality specialist education and to reach a working quality of life standard. Key words: Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale, Sleep Quality in Physicians, Sleep Index
