Abstract (EN)

Productivity and profitability in agricultural production decrease gradually due to the fragmentation of agricultural lands. The productivity of dispersed and fragmented agricultural lands is increased after land consolidation by solving agricultural infrastructure problems, such as irrigation and accessibility to lands. In this study, it is aimed to examine the land consolidation practices implemented in Amasya in terms of producer satisfaction. The main material of the study consists of the primary data obtained by means of the survey method from 172 agricultural enterprises where land consolidation was implemented in Amasya. According to reserch finding;before land consolidation average number of parcels was 10.30 while after this it became 7.75. 70.93% of the producers stated that they reached their land in a shorter time after consolidation and 41.28% stated that their income increased. 79.07% of the producers recommends land consolidation. The more land consolidation and irrigation projects are implemented in unison, the more the producer satisfaction rate increases. In the research, a significant relationship was found between the level of satisfaction of producers from land consolidation and the factors of having heard of the consept of land consolidation before; and performing land consolidation and irrigation together; and perspective on consolidation before performing it; and state of recommending consolidation; and change of opinion about consolidation works after consolidation; and change in the number of parcels. In addition, there is a statistical relationship between the state of having heard about the consept of land consolidation before and the level of education. It has been found that there is a significant relationship between the situation of the producers renting a land or sharing a land before the consolidation and after the consolidation. A significant relationship was found between the status of objecting to the new parcel plans suspended within the scope of consolidation and the status of taking into account the demands of the producers. In the projects of land concolidation the training and extension activities of the producers should be emphasized. The importance of consolidation, how it will contribute to the producers and its necessity should be explained in these trainings. All institutions involved in land consolidation studies should work in coordination. Necessary measures should be taken by authorities to prevent land fragmentation caused by inheritance, expropriation or for some other reasons.
