Celebrations in Ardahan province folk culture

Traditional celebrations in the entertainment culture are the practices that have been transferred from the past to the present, showing the lifestyles, history and culture of societies. As a result of the research and examinations, the subject of the study on the ceremonies and celebrations of Ardahan province was determined as "Celebrations in the Folk Culture of Ardahan Province". In this study, the holidays, ceremonies and celebrations that make up the culture of the region; Local festivities and festivals were identified and classified. The aim is to examine the changes and transformations these celebrations have undergone throughout history in the context of folklore. The study is important in terms of identifying many cultural elements of the region, such as clothing, music, dance and food and beverage, and transferring them to future generations and preserving the culture. Entertainment culture is the economic, social and political etc. of a region. It also shows the level of development in these fields. It is possible to see traces of these in ceremonies and celebrations due to the geographical features and climate of Ardahan province, as well as the fact that the source of income is agriculture and animal husbandry. The study consists of three parts. Each section is explained with its own subheadings. In the evaluation part, the reasons for the disappearance of the detected activities or how they are changing and transforming were explained, and in the conclusion part, the study was completed with some findings. The study was conducted by both field research and scanning written and digital sources.
