Investigation of the quality of network water in Ardahan province and districts

In this study, different water sources supplied to the networks as drinking water in Ardahan center and districts. The resources were analyzed physically, chemically and microbiologically to determine whether they were suitable for consumption. For this purpose, water samples were collected from the spring water supplied to the city networks as drinking water to Ardahan centre and districts in May and October 2023.. Drinking water parameters; Microbial, pH, Conductivity, nitrite, nitrate, manganese, chlorine, calcium, magnesium, fluoride, copper, nickel, chromium, iron, sulfate, bromine, lead, sodium and potassium values were analyzed. These analyzes were evaluated according to TS 266 and World Health Organization (WHO) criteria. As a result of microbial (coliform bacteria) analysis, it was determined that the coliform values of Ardahan city and its all districts (Posof center and Ardahan Kaptanpaşa mah. except October) did not comply with TS 266 and WHO criteria. It was determined that the lead value in most samples was below the TS 266 value.
