Abstract (EN)

Aristotle's interpretation of the human being, soul and body as an entity consisting of two separate elements. Spirit is the form that shapes the body and gives it a "human" quality. According to Aristotle, the soul is doomed to perish in the body, as it would not be without its body. It is the spirit that makes the body alive and alive. With this discourse, the thinker has made the body and the spirit interdependent. Aristotle treats the body with soul as two distinct elements of a substance. Aristotle, who argues that the soul is not composed of parts, declares that the soul has three parts: vegetable, animal and mental. The herbal spirit regulates the vital functions of human being, such as the emergence, growth, nutrition and survival. The main function of the animal soul is the inactivity and movement. The third and last function of the soul is reasoning. According to Aristotle, the most distinctive feature of the human soul is that it is equipped with reason. The mind is divided into active and passive. Passive mind collects and compiles the data provided by the senses. On the other hand, the self-directed active mind collects the information obtained through trial, abstracts the images from the objects and thus begins to understand and interpret the events. We evaluated the opinion of Ibn-i Sînâ "soul", which is the other title of our study. Although Ibn-i Sînâ separates the soul from the soul, it gives the souls of the soul in general and eliminates this distinction. Ibn Sînâ set out by proving the existence of the soul. In doing so, it uses two methods. The first one is the inner experience. The second one is the proof of the work. In the relation between soul and body, Ibn-i Sînâ does not think that the soul exists together with the body, as a result of which there is no soul before the body. He sees his unity with the body as an impediment to his access to real knowledge. In this study, I compared Aristotle and Ibn-i Sînâ's approach to soul. In this context, the problem of soul and body was discussed in both thinkers. Keywords: Aristotle, Spirit, Matter, Body, Mythology, Ibn Sina
