Integration of arc welding parameters to virtual welding simulator

Abstract (EN)

In this study, integration of arc welding parameters for virtual welding simulator was investigated. Welding parameters of Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), metal inert gas welding (MIG), metal active gas welding (MAG) and Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) methods were determined by using literature review. Parameters are selected depending on welding methods and in the present study some parameters are included. To determine the welding parameters, the national and international welding standards and also welding application experiences are taken into consideration for each welding method. In the present thesis, the determined welding parameters are examined in detailed for welding methods and the resultant ideal welding parameters and their limits are given in equations and tables. Obtained welding parameter values were integrated to virtual welding simulator. Virtual welding simulator was accomplishedly tested with optimal welding parameters.
