Özet (EN)

Infrared stimulation luminescence (IRSL) has been extensively used for dating of feldspars. In this study, pot sherd taken from Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipe Line Project including archaeological salvage excavation at Büyükardıç-Erzincan has been dated using IRSL method. Determination of equivalent dose and annual dose is very important rank of IRSL dating. Two potential approaches known single-aliquot and multiple-aliquot was used in determination of equivalent dose. In the present work, regeneraiton method has been used for single-aliquot procedure and equivalent dose has also been obtained by taking into account the avarege and maximum counts. By using additive dose method, equivalent dose has been obtained for multiple-aliquot procedure. Equivalent dose results obtained from both methods are in agreement with each other. Recently, different methods have been improved in some studies for determination of equivalent dose. In this study, effect of slow components on ED was discussed for continuos wave optically stimulated luminescence (CW-OSL) decay curves obtained from multiple-aliquot procedure. Furthermore, it has been made a transformation from CW-OSL decay curves to the linear modulation optically stimulated luminescence (LM-OSL). Then, the effect of the slow components on ED was discussed in the result of LM-OSL application. vii Equivalent dose results of slow components have been obtained from CW-OSL and LM-OSL are agree with equivalent dose results of the single-aliquot and multiple-aliquot procedures. In result, LM-OSL is more succesful than CW-OSL. The determined age of pot sherd has been found in the range of 2640-3320 years in which range corresponds to Early Iron Age.
