Abstract (EN)
This thesis examines administrative management of Nazareth district under Ottoman administration, for 32 years startinng from 1876 till 1918 according to Ottoman archival documents. Over the examination madse over Ottoman Arrchieve documents, it is seen that Nazareth hadd been arena between Christian communities and foreign states They aimed to intervene in the internal affairs of the Ottoman state by trying to continue the activities of Christians and foreign states through communities and sects. Christian congregations and sects. Christian congregations and foreing states have tired to increase their power by building many institutions such as monasteries, churches, orphanages, guest houses, hospitals. By law also Ottoman empire took actions in different ways by trying to work againts these activities to prevent them. The activities of the foreigners in Nazareth discrict continued until defeat of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War. The Ottoman state , on the other hand, tried to resist as administrative, municipal as well as social.
