Abstract (EN)

Diabetes is a well-known endocrine system disorder whose incidence has increased recently. The drugs used in its treatment are classified as first and second-generation. As a result of the literature, it has been shown that the synthesis of new more effective antidiabetic drugs is needed because the drugs used in the treatment of diabetes have many side effects and are used in combination. In this context, since hydrazone derivatives are very active compounds and have antidiabetic effects, this study aimed to synthesize a series of hydrazone derivatives that can show potential antidiabetic activity. Hydrazones were synthesized by refluxing acetohexamide and substituted hydrazides in acetonitrile with acetic acid as a catalyst. FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis methods were used for the structural characterization of the synthesized hydrazone compounds. Additionally, the properties of molecules such as H-bond acceptors, H-bond donors, TPSA, Lipinski, iLogP, GI absorption, and BBB permeability were also investigated with the SwissADME program used in drug design.
