Abstract (EN)
When rapid growth of companies are taken into consideration, the adversity of being incharge of the company and at the same time managing the company , moreover taking all management responsibilities by executive managers is unavoidable from the his point of view. As a result of this, both the company owners and executive managers have started working with professional managers in order to carry out the managing activities.This obligation is named as "agency theory" in literature.When we examine the "agency theory" which is utilized in several different practical fields, we will see that it is in close proximity with the other organizational theories. In particular, when power-dependancy theories which are conditionally bonded to social capital are reviewed together, the following question arises; "Is social capital a tactical usage of the agent who demands power or trying to encourage the power in hand?" Starting from this point, the effect of the power possessed by the agent on the supervision of the principal on the agent and the decisions to be taken related with this are investigated in this study. This study reveals the importance of social capital and power-dependancy concepts in managing the relationship between principal and agent in Turkiye.In addition, the effect of the authority possessed by the agent while managers are selecting and supervising agent both medium-sized and big-sized companies. The purpose of this study is to provide a different viewpoint to the world technical literature on Turkiye's basis by associating with power-dependancy and social capital in principal – agent relationship and to provide contribution to the studies related with agent theory accomplished in Turkiye via questionnaires with this study, the principal and agent will understand the following facts within the relationship of principal-agent; - The importance of social capital possessed by the agent from the principal's and organization's point of view in Turkiye, - How power of social capital takes the principals under pressure for various subjects. It is qualitative research.Yöntem of structured interview has been used for collecting data.The data analysis, which is a type of content analysis.
