Abstract (EN)

The sebeb-i telif is one of the essential elements that constitute the introduction of works written in the mathnawi verse form. However, in terms of content, subject, and location, this element is separate from the section where the author tells the main story. This thesis's primary purpose is to reveal this section's structural features. Another objective of the thesis is to determine the motives frequently used in the fictional narratives in these mathnawis and the functions of these motives in fiction. The first chapter is an introduction. This chapter shows the theoretical approach and the field of study of the thesis and includes a literature review. The second chapter questions the position of the sebeb-i telif section in work and its relationship with other side texts. The third chapter examines the number of couplets, use of titles, and verse forms of these sections. The fourth chapter focuses on the tools the author uses in the fiction he will create; on the other hand, it investigates how the author uses them in his narrative. The fifth chapter examines the motives used in the narrative in the sebeb-i telif section and questions the functions of these motives. The sixth chapter of the thesis includes tables showing the reasons for composing a work, their purposes, and the distribution of motives used in fiction.
