Abstract (EN)
The family of the Bard Müslüm Dalkılıç who was born in Susuz, thevillage of Çubuk(Ankara), in 1931 is one of the richest family area around. They get their lives from farming and stock raising. His mother?s father SeyyitSüleyman Dalkılıç tells the poem of the stringed instrument, but not play. Thesubjects of the poems which he tells focuses on God, anechdotes of theprophet, the Prophet Ali, Hasan, Hüseyin, twelwe-imams, the family of theProphet Muhammad and sufism. The bard?s grandfather Seyyit İbrahimDalkılıç and his uncle Battal Dalkılıç play the stringed instrument and singanonymous folk songs. He is interested in the stringed instrument which hisgrandfather and uncle have and he plays it at seven years old for the firsttime. He learns playing by looking at them, not having any special lesson. Hetells his first poem at the age of 15, when the son of his aunt Kamil who is ashepherd commits a suicide. The bard who can?t find the suitableenvironment that he wants in the village runs away Ankara where he thinkshe will be untroubled with every aspects, once in 1946 and once in 1947, buthis family doesn?t give permission to him to live in Ankara and his brotherwho becomes a village teacher by graduating from Hasanoğlan Teachers?Training School takes him back to his village even if the bard doesn?t want. Inthose years he rents a room for 10 Kurus a night in a place called Hıdırlık?sHill in Ankara. He stays there and works as a porter or peddler. Between1952 and 1954 he completes his military service as a sergeant in the signalcorps. After military service, it means in 1955, he comes to Ankara and hedoesn?t go back to his village. He works as a porter, peddler, grocer, seller ofsundries in Ankara. At last he decides to sell fabrics and does this work foryears, meanwhile, after coming to Ankara he learns the meeting places of thebards and tries to drop in there. As a result of this habit, in 1974 he sets upthe Folk Bards Culture Association with the bards whom he gets acquaintedwith. He becomes the chairman of this place. He starts to carry out his art byjoining at different programs. He organizes different activities and continueshis association studies by the way of the press and publication. His most important aim at this term is to state the troubles ofindividuals and society, at the same time to solve the problems of the bards. He participates in many discussions, although some people accuse him as aseparatist. The bard clafiries with sorrow that he has become the target ofsome people since he tells the truths and brings up his tellings with outavoiding. In 1977 he becomes a candidate of the member of Grand NationalAssembly for People?s Rebuplican Party but he can?t provide the support ofdelegates which is needed. This event hurts his fighter spirit. He leaves thepresidency of the association. In this way he puts an end to this activity, notreturn back again. His telling poem and sensitivity of love and justinecontinues. But after this date his telling poem decreases markedly. He lifegoes on between home and work. When his health problems appear, hecompletely stops telling poem. The Bard Müslüm Dalkılıç who still livesalmost never tells poems. He continues to sell fabrics but he is the chairmanthere, his sons carry on selling. He gets married two times. He makes his firstmarriage with Mrs Mercan in 1948 because of the pressure of this family, thismarriage that the bard doesn?t want himself doesn?t continue although he hasfour kids and it ends by deciding together in 1962. He makes secondmarriage with Mrs Fatma in 1964. This is a love marriage. They have threechildren. The poems of the Bard Müslüm Dalkılıç have the same characteristicsof the bard poems. He uses different kinds of syllabic meter(7, 8, 11 and 13),espacially 11 syllabic meter. The second meter he uses most is 8 syllabicmeter. The poems he writes in 7 and 13 syllabic meter are rather less. Theerrors of meter in his poems aren?t important level. The bard who plays thestringed instrument tells some poems as folk songs. He doesn?t know theforms and types of bard?s poems and folk tales. The unique form of hispoems is the free-form folk poem. He tells lyric, satirizing and epic types.Anyway he doesn?t have any anxiety to learn them. He thinks that theresearchers should examine form and type. He is the supporter of that apoem should be produced as a result of a certain accumulation and study.Otherwise he describes the poem as ?unripe, uncooked?. But his education isrestricted with primary school. After that he doesn?t struggle to improvehimself. He builds up his poems on his life experiences, observations andskills that are thanks to God. He focuses on both subjective and social topics.Love and justice special to person with allmost all dimensions take place inall his poems. The imbalance of income distribution worries him. The BardMüslüm Dalkılıç who feels compassion for poors shows his sensitivity bydistributing the foods that he steals from his family?s larder in his childhoold tothe poors. The beauties of nature inspire to his senses and thoughts. Hereveals his own feelings and ideas as a result of this situation. The affectionof motherland is great. He mentions proudly about the beauties and featureson all sides of our country in his poems. The bard has a great affection ofAtatürk and Rebuplic. He owns Atatürk and Republic with all the features. Hedefends that depending on the revolutions which Atatürk makes to becomecontemporary and carrying out their necessities will be liberation of thenation. The people who are against to Atatürk?s principals and revolutions arecriticized mercilessly by the bard. He explains the reasons of not being ableto reach the contemporary civilization level with the fact that we don?t followthe way of Atatürk.The variety of words that he uses in his poems shows parallelism withhis culture. Because of living in a village in his childhood he uses wordsabout stockraising and farming. It is seen that he uses them with the usage ofhis region not a dictionary form. The meanings of some words that he uses inhis poems are different from dictionary meaning. Moreover some words in hispoems don?t take place in the dictionary. We see that some of the wordschange from the point of view of voice in order to fit meter and some of thevoices in these words disappear. Yet he doesn?t do them consciously. Thewords which aren?t used today?s language and come from the Arabic andPersian language are come across. Briefly its language is plain. His poemscan be understood easily. The Bard Müslüm Dalkılıç is still alive. Anymore he doesn?t tell poems. He goes to his fabric store, he isn?t at an active position there but onlycontrols the job and goes on his life like that.
