The destruction of transcendental imagery a deconstructive look at Ebru Ojen's novel Lojman

This study deals with the deconstruction movement unearthed by Jacques Derrida. To put the reading of deconstruction on a more understandable ground, the concepts related to it were analyzed. In addition to the concepts of différance, trace, pharmakon, the Western metaphysical tradition, which Derrida places at the center of his criticism as the metaphysics of presence/presence, is examined. The fact that the movement of deconstruction has been practiced in a wide range of fields from the analysis of literary texts to legal texts, architecture, language, and religious philosophy texts, the applicability of deconstruction to the analysis of Ebru Ojen's novel Lojman is discussed in terms of this study. In this context, does the novel "Lodging" have transcendental signifiers, what are the undecidable moments in the novel "Lodging", are there words that are seeded, grafted and thus undergo a scattering of meaning in the novel "Lodging"? In the light of the answers to these questions, the deconstructive gesture of the novel Lodging with its characters, fiction, transcendental signifiers, undecidable moments, conflicts, aporias, dichotomies, and spaces, as well as how the novel deconstructs itself with all these states are discussed. In the novel Lodging, it is revealed how other meanings of the signifieds of transcendental images inherited from the Western metaphysical tradition of thought are subjected to violence and how they are suppressed. The positioning of the expressions of postponement, demolition, dismantling, disintegration, vaccination, seeding, scattering, repetition, signifier, now-here-ness, which are related to the deconstruction reading, in terms of the analysis of the novel were revealed.
