Abstract (EN)
This research aims to examine all the works of Aslı Der published so far in terms of the basic principles of children's literature and fantastic elements. Within the scope of the research, eight works of Aslı Der were analyzed by document analysis method within the framework of the internal and external structure characteristics that children's literature products should have. The examination of the works in terms of fantastic elements was made according to the "Criteria of Fantastic Works" developed by the researcher. As a result of the research, it has been determined that Aslı Der's works are books that comply with the majority of the basic principles that children's literature should be based on, both in terms of external and internal structure features. In addition, it has been seen that all of the works, in the context of separate subjects, can be used in teaching Turkish for children in the acquisition of reading culture and passion. In terms of fantastic elements, while the works of the author meet the fantastic criteria of Nikolajeva and Steinmetz, it has been determined that they are not within the boundaries of Todorov's definition of fantastic. As a result of the research, suggestions were made to researchers and educators regarding the author's works.
