Abstract (EN)

The subject of this thesis is immigrants, minorities and foreigners, who are the "others" of Europe recently. In this thesis shaped within the framework of the theory of constructivism; as a result of the interaction of societies with other communities, identity is formed by creating "us" against "other". In this respect, the thesis aims to reveal the importance and effect of identity and culture discussions in Europe's other definition, the programs and election successes of the right-wing parties. In this context; the thesis states that the basis of the "other" definition in Europe and the countries studied is economic and cultural differences. During the thesis study; it was observed that the electoral programs and discourses of examined the parties were aimed to ensure that voters perceive immigrants as threats, by emphasizing the differences based on religion and culture. The parties present themselves and their policies as a solution for the threat which is believed to be created by foreigners, against the probability of occurrence of said threats within their countries. In this direction; the thesis reveals the effect of the perceptions of anti-foreign and threat, which were shaped by framework of the debates on identity and culture, on the extreme right-wing parties' electoral success. The thesis basically aims to explain the factors that make the analyzed parties more successful than the other parties in Europe. In this regards; in addition to the perception of the foreign and migrant threat which is one of the most important factors, The thesis aims to clarify the impact of religion and culture during nation building and in the process of defining the "other".
