In this study which is titled Military Organisation of the Assyrian Empire and which has been prepared as the Master Degree thesis, some terms regarding the power branches of the Assyrian army, the hierarchical order of the military organisation of the Assyrian army, the army units, duties-ranks and war equipments in the army are explained by means of making use of some resources, especially the foreigner ones. Moreover, detailed information has been provided about the attires as well as equipments and tools of, especially, New Assyrian Empire?s Reigning period, and also of Middle and Old Assyrian Empires? reigning periods.Our study consists of three parts. After giving information about the Assyrian Geography in Introduction part, general information is given in about political history of Assyrian Empire, about Old Assyrian, Middle Assyrian and New Assyrian periods by considering Assyria?s political development, in the first part. Information about Assyrians? military organisation and war methods is given in the second part. Information about the Assyrians? military attires and equipments is given in the third party ? by making use of the drawings gotten out of relieves.
