The finds of Atabey Ertokus Madrasah excavation (coins)

Within the scope of this thesis, we rewiew of the Atabey Ertokuş Medrese?s excavated finds in the 1993. The medrese was built by Mübarizeddin Ertokuş who is head of Anatolian Seljuk State in 1224 as greg. Medrese built by using many of the spolia materials and built in courtyard and eyvanlı plan. In addition, they are shrine where a structure adjacent to the Western side, and which thought to belong to the Ertokuş Atabey.Archaeological excavations at the Atabey Ertokuş Madrasah was carried out within the scope of the Lakes region Archaeological Cultural Tourism Research Project in 1993 by Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Uysal, at the same time he is also a consultant for my thesis.Among the finds from the excavations, 129 units of old money, has been found This thesis are explored in the context of these coins. These coins, although different materials, sizes and techniques is a very long spans of time periods. The earliest dated one is belongs to the Roman period, late one is belongs to Republican period. The main reasons for this diversity, there is a settlement in the region before madrasah and madrasah is used on an ongoing basis to the present.In the report of coins, there are; the two pieces of the Roman, three coins in the Seljuk Period, one jetton of the German Empire, four of the Austria Empire, one money of Yemen, two money of the Republic of Turkey, ninety six Ottoman money. Twenty money is not determined.
