Research of hopelessness situations of candidate physical education teachers who are preparing for public personnel selection exam

Aim: This research aims to study the hopelessness sitations of candidate physical education teachers who are preparing for Public Personel Selection Examination. Material and method: İn this research scannig method was applied. Research group consists of 312 candidate Physical Education Teachers prepering. Hopelessness scale, which was developed by Beck and adapted Turkish lanquage by Durak and Palabıyık, was used as a means of data collection medium and Life Satisfaction Scale developed by Durak and Palabıyık and adapted to Turkish by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, Griffin Used. Result: There is no significant difference between prospective teachers' despair levels according to their gender(p>0,05). However, there is a significant difference between the levels of hopelessness of prospective teachers according to their ages, preparation years and departments (p>0,05). There is a significant difference between the levels of life satisfaction of the candidates according to the preparation years of KPSS (p>0,05). Conclusion: As a result of the research, it to department was found that hopelessness levels were high according to age, preparation year of KPSS, and the level of hopelessness did not change according to gender. In the study, when the life satisfaction levels of the prospective physical education teacher candidates were examined, it was concluded that it did not change according to gender, age, and department and it only changed according to the year of preparation of KPSS.
